Leaving Day
Sadly, this was our last morning at Tulemar. After a breakfast of delicious French toast, we went back to the villa to relax and take in the view one last time.
I loved everything about this villa, but I really liked this lounge chair. It was made for 2 people, and it had arm rests large enough to place a drink.
After check out, we headed up these stairs beside our villa to wander around a bit and watch for wildlife. Then we had lunch and hung out at the main pool by TuleCafe until our driver arrived.
It’s very hard to get good pictures of the Scarlet Macaws because they are usually high up in the thick foliage. I was lucky to get this video before it flew away.
The trees covered with epiphytes make a perfect playground for the monkeys. Tulemar has also added many rope bridges around the property so they can safely cross the road.
After lunch we had a driver take us to San Jose. It’s about a 3.5 hour drive. We needed to be close to the airport for our 8 a.m. flight the following morning. We spent the evening wandering around a shopping mall and had dinner there at the Spaghetti Factory. Then back to the hotel to rest for our early flight the next morning.
